Eastern Carolina is keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm Elsa. The storm is currently about to strike Florida and then turn and make its way toward the northeast over the next few days. The current forecast has the remnants of Elsa passing over North Carolina on Thursday with conditions possibly being felt as early as Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service says considerable uncertainty remains regarding the strength and track of the system. Residents are advised to pay close attention to the forecast over the next two days.
