On Wednesday, a Kinston Police Department officer conducted a vehicle stop on W. Vernon Ave. for a traffic violation. During the vehicle stop, over 20 pounds of marijuana were reportedly located inside the vehicle. The driver, 36-year-old Dominique Graham of Kinston, was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking Marijuana, Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance.

The Kinston Police Department says it places a high priority on investigating illegal drug crimes and the use and/or sale of illegal narcotics affects the quality of life of all our citizens.
