Seymour Johnson Air Force Base hosts its Independence Day celebration this evening, Thursday, July 1.

The 4^th Fighter Wing will hold its July 4^th event in base housing from 6 – 9 PM.  The on-base event is free to all military ID cardholders and will feature food booths, rides, games and live music from Sayer McShane.  The evening will conclude with a fireworks display at 9 PM near the Bryan Multi-Sports Complex.

For those without base access, Goldsboro Parks and Recreation says free parking will be available at the Bryan Multi-Sports Complex which will provide the best vantage point for the fireworks display.  The launch point for the fireworks show is directly beside the complex.
