GPD: Juvenile Charged For Armed Robbery, Vehicle Theft

A juvenile suspect is charged for a Memorial Day weekend armed robbery in Goldsboro.

Late on May 30th, the Goldsboro Police Department responded to the robbery on the 2700 block of E. Ash Street.  Three individuals were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown black males.  The suspects fled in the vehicle the victims had been sitting in.  The stolen vehicle was recovered on the 100 block of Lincoln Drive the next day.

On June 8th, a 16-year-old was developed as a suspect in the case and juvenile petitions were secured for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.  The 16-year-old was served on the outstanding petitions while in a juvenile detention facility for unrelated charges.

The second suspect has not been identified, and the GPD says the investigation is continuing.
