Full Steam Ahead For NC Freedom Fest

Full Steam Ahead For NC Freedom Fest

NC Freedom Fest is full-steam ahead for its inaugural event on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 in Downtown Goldsboro, despite the recent setback from the band Parmalee, who will be unavailable to perform due to being double-booked.

“Due to COVID-19, everyone’s schedule is crazy now with everything re-opening. Luckily, we have an amazing team that has come up with a campaign to support local this year at NC Freedom Fest.” says Doug McGrath, President of NC Freedom Fest. “NC Freedom Fest is all about supporting our local veterans, the military establishments throughout North Carolina, and the service men and women who you can find right here in our very own community.” The entire lineup of talented musicians has a connection to North Carolina and they are honored to have the opportunity to perform for the Military and our First Responders.

The live acts will include Spare Change, one of the Southeast’s most well-known party bands, soulful singer/songwriter and owner of Gold City House of Music, Tyler Davis, Sayer McShane, who bring the girl power and a unique blend of rock, blues, Motown, funk, soul, and pop, and finally Brooke McBride, singer/songwriter from Asheboro, NC who will close out the show with country music with a razor edge!

Alongside the ramped up support local campaign, the Kids Zone at NC Freedom Fest, sponsored by Goldsboro Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, and brought to you by Fun Fest Midways will feature over 10 rides, games, and amusements at the carnival which will be active throughout the week of the festival. As an added bonus, kids can ride free from 4 pm – 7 pm on Saturday during the festival!

Registrations are live on our website for Street Fair Vendors, “Wings of Wayne” Wing Cook-Off Teams (hosted by Goldsboro Elks Lodge BPOE #139), Corn Hole Tournament, NCFF 5K & Fun Run, and Call for Artists for the Arts Council of Wayne County’s “Red, White, & Blue” Exhibit! Sign-ups for the Car & Bike Show, courtesy of Wayne County Cruisers and Wood Cycles, will begin on July 5th, 2021!
