A Juneteenth event drew hundreds to H.V. Brown Park in Goldsboro this past weekend.  At one point, organizers says 500 attendees were at the park for Saturday’s festivities.  The day included booths featuring local organizations and businesses set up by young entrepreneurs.  13 performers from across the state entertained the crowds throughout the day.  The Juneteenth event was the brainchild of friends Joe Baker and Chandler Evans.  Baker says he was proud to put together a positive event for the community showcasing black commerce, youth and art.
