An infant dies in a Lenoir County drowning incident.  Lenoir County EMS responded to the 5200 block of Murphy Road in Pink Hill around 2 PM Sunday for the report of a child not breathing.  EMS arrived and found the 9-month-old had drowned in a bathtub inside the home.  Family members and EMS performed life-saving measures but were unable to revive the child.  The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office says it will conduct a full investigation into the incident to determine if there was any criminal wrongdoing.  The sheriff’s office says the name of the victim or family will not be released until the investigation is complete.
