Firefighters from Smith Chapel and a Wayne County EMS unit were dispatched to a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Mills Road and O’Berry Road.  The car was apparently heading east on O’Berry Road when it rounded a curve, ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected. The vehicle then went off the other side of the road, struck a ditch bank and rolled once coming to rest in a field.  The female driver had to be take to the hospital for possible injuries.  The State Highway Patrol was investigating the crash and charges are pending.
