Wayne County Museum Prepares For Busy June

There’s a lot going on this month at the local historical museum.

Jennifer Kuykendall, the Executive Director of the Wayne County Museum, appeared on Jeff Farrow’s Morning Show on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 and 98.3.

She says the new exhibit, “Stars, Stages and Screens of Wayne County,” is open now featuring a look at locally-born actors.

Kuykendall says the museum is restarting its Downtown History Walks on the first Saturday of every month.

The walking tours begin again this Saturday, June 5, at 10:30 AM.

Kuykendall says the museum will hold its Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 19, from 10 – 11:30 AM featuring a cultural celebration of singing and dancing.

The Wayne County Museum is located at 116 N. William Street in Downtown Goldsboro.

The museum is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 AM until 4 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM – 6 PM.

You can follow the latest with the museum’s events at WayneMuseum.org.
