The Wayne County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer vaccine clinic this Saturday, June 5, for anyone needing a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The clinic will be from 9 AM – 1:30 PM at the former Bussmann Building, 210 Dixie Trail in Goldsboro. The county asks that recipients schedule an appointment at www.waynegov.com/vaccine, but walk-ups will also be accepted.
The first 200 individuals to sign up for an appointment and receive their vaccine will receive a Walmart gift card. The Health Department will also be distributing Bring Back Summer goodies while supplies last.
The Pfizer vaccine is approved for anyone age 12 or older with parent or guardian consent. This weekend clinic is an excellent time for parents and children to get a vaccine together outside of work or school obligations. Anyone interested in the COVID-19 vaccine should note that the vaccine cannot be administered if you have received another vaccine within the past 14 days.
