Late Sunday afternoon, Arrington firefighters and EMS Station 8 responded to a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Bill Lane Boulevard and Arrington Bridge Road.  A small Chevrolet car was heading south on Arrington Bridge Road had apparently slowed down when it was struck from behind by a GMC pickup truck also heading south.  Firefighters had to use their tools to open the doors on the vehicle and free the passengers, both of whom had to be taken to the hospital.  The section of road was closed for nearly an hour as the State Highway Patrol investigated.
