There’s an increased fire danger in Wayne County and the surrounding area today.  The National Weather Service says low relative humidity, gusty winds and record low fuel moistures will create the increased fire danger through early this evening.  Higher relative humidity, lighter winds and increasing rain chances are expected on Saturday.  The N.C. Forest Service’s burn ban remains in effect for 26 counties including Wayne and Lenoir.
