Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni To Celebrate Virtual Homecoming

Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends, Inc. will celebrate its’ 66th annual Homecoming virtually over the weekend of May 27th (Thursday through Sunday) May 30th with classes ending with “1” and “6” receiving special honor.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the celebration for 2020 had to be cancelled.  However, DGAF, Inc. were still able to award deserving students with the financial assistance needed to attend college.  This year, over $45,000.00 will be awarded to 28 students.

The theme for this years’ alumni weekend is, “Embracing Traditions in a Changed World”.

You can enjoy all activities from the comfort of your home.  The weekend will feature:

  • Thursday night Awards Ceremony.
  • Friday night will be the Archive Presentation along with our DGAF Password Game featuring the Classes of 1971, ’76 and ’81.
  • The Saturday morning virtual parade will be led by alumnus, Michael Regan, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, as our Grand Marshall. Several HBCU bands will perform.
  • Saturday night, a Comedy Show featuring D L Henry and Battle of the DJ’s…..Ole School music vs New school music.
  • Sunday morning services with City Church virtually with Pastor Terry Jones.

All events start at 7:00 PM except for the parade which starts at 10:00 AM.
