Mrs. Lessie Gray “Deita” Martin Price, resident of Mount Olive and formerly from Seven Springs, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 27, at 10 a.m. in the Pineview Cemetery near Seven Springs, with the family greeting friends following the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Ashley Summerlin.

Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Prentice Price; her two sons, Linwood “Blue” Martin and William “Buster” Price; her parents, Ira Louis Martin and Annie Baker Martin; a brother, Louis Martin; and sisters, Thelma Myers, Tempie Anderson, Irene Hall, and Margaret Oates.

She is survived by two grandsons and their wives, Michael and Amy Martin of Cary, and Neal and Catherine Lynch of Seven Springs; great-grandchildren, Emma Claire Martin of Cary, and Connor Lynch and Brody Lynch, both of Seven Springs; a sister, Joyce M. Sullivan of Mount Olive; several nieces and nephews; and very special caregivers, Tammy and Deborah.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to be made to Seven Springs Fire Department, PO Box 116, Seven Springs, NC 28578 (in recognition of her late husband being a charter member, and she being a charter member of the ladies auxiliary).
