Rebecca Thomas York died peacefully on May 20, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was born August 11, 1923 in Wilson, NC to the late Sanford Paul and Alice Pittman Thomas. She was preceded in death by five sisters and her husband of 64 years, Charles E. York.

She is survived by her son, Charles S. York and wife, Emily; daughter, Anne York Jernigan and husband, Troy; grandchildren, Allen York and wife, Heather and Emily Perry and husband, Colin; and great-grandchildren, Banks York, Baker York, Colin Perry, and Immy Perry.

A graveside service to celebrate Becky’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Willow Dale Cemetery with Rev. Tom Millay officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to First Christian Church, 1609 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
