The Wayne County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer vaccine clinic this Saturday, May 22, for anyone needing a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The clinic will be from 9 AM – 1 PM at Spring Creek Middle School, 3579 NC-111 in Seven Springs. Recipients are asked to schedule an appointment at www.waynegov.com/vaccine, but walk-ups will also be accepted. The first 100 individuals to sign up for an appointment and receive their vaccine will receive a Walmart gift card. The Health Department will also be distributing Bring Back Summer goodie bags while supplies last.
The Pfizer vaccine is approved for anyone age 12 or older. This weekend clinic is an excellent time for parents and children to get a vaccine together outside of work or school obligations. Anyone interested in the COVID-19 vaccine should note that the vaccine cannot be administered if you have received another vaccine within the past 14 days.
If you are in need of a COVID-19 vaccine during the week, the Health Department has appointments available Monday through Friday at www.waynegov.com/vaccine or call (919) 731-1000 and press #1.
