United Way Seeks Volunteer Tutors For ‘Unlimited Impact’

Volunteer tutors are needed for a summer learning program in Wayne County.

The First Church and United Way of Wayne County in partnership with Wayne County Public Schools, are launching ‘Unlimited Impact,’ a K-8 tutoring program.

United Way Executive Director Sherry Archibald appeared on Goldsboro’s Greatest  Hits 1150 and 98.3.

Archibald says students may suffer from heavy learning loss this summer due to the pandemic, and ‘Unlimited Impact’ will hopefully help reverse that.

‘Unlimited Impact’ will operate Mondays through Thursday, June 15 through August 5.

Tutoring sites will be located in targeted community centers and churches within convenient walking or travel distance from where families live.

You do not need to be a professional teacher or tutor, and training will be provided for the volunteer tutors.
