MSgt Lawrence (Larry) Albert Essing (USAF retired), 82, passed away on Sunday May 16, 2021 at his home in Goldsboro, NC. He was born in Rillton, PA on June 29, 1938 to the late Albert August Essing and Josephine Mae Campbell Essing. He was preceded in death by his sister Catherine Essing Layman.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Louise Sullivan Essing for almost 60 years. After graduating from Sewickley High School in Herminie, PA, he began his U.S. Air Force career. For 28 years he served in the USAF with assignments in Ohio, Thailand, Korea, California, Florida, Spain, Washington and finally North Carolina. Larry had many hobbies which he shared with his children and grandchildren. He loved gardening, bowling, golf, Pittsburgh Steeler football, Duke basketball and Pittsburgh Pirates baseball.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Friday, May 21st at Seymour Funeral Home. A private service for the family will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife Mary Louise Essing, daughter Justina Marie Essing, son Lawrence Timothy Essing, son Michael Lawrence Essing, grandson Justin Cody (wife Lindsey) Essing, grandson Matthew Robert Hect, and great granddaughter River Blue Essing.
