Brenda Carolyn Woodson Hass, age 74, passed away Saturday morning at her residence. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Roger Whitehead Woodson and Mildred Rowland Woodson Francis and sister of the late Gary Woodson. She retired from Burlington Industries, enjoyed sewing, and was a member of the Nelson Baptist Church. She previously taught Sunday school, was a youth girls leader and choir member at the church.
At Brenda’s request, the family will have a private service.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Alan Hass; a daughter, Brenda Lynn “Lynn” Fail and husband, Jay; a brother, Jerry Woodson and his wife, Mildred; a sister in law, Diane Woodson; three grandchildren, Joshua Poole and wife, Kelly, Joey Poole and wife, Renee, Johanna Luckinbill and husband, Don; and her great-grandchildren, Jayce Poole, Kole Poole, Jayden Windham, Preston Luckinbill, Kylie Luckinbill, and Gracie Luckinbill. She was proud to assist in raising Brandon Cook.
