Two Suspects Charged in Separate Robberies

WCSO: Domestic Call Leads To Drug Trafficking Arrest

Last week Monday, a Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy responded to an address in the eastern area of the county for the report of a domestic disturbance.  As the deputy arrived at the residence, it was discovered 36-year-old Roberto C. Pineda of La Grange had physically assaulted a female at the residence.  Once Pineda was detained, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a large amount of schedule II narcotics, a stolen firearm and marijuana.  Pineda was arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking by Possession of Schedule II
  • Possession of a Stolen Firearm
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Assault on a Female

Pineda was left in the custody of the Wayne County Jail.  He was given “No Bond” for Domestic Assault on Female and a $100,000 secured bond for the other charges.
