SJAFB Offers COVID Vaccine To TRICARE Beneficiaries This Friday

The 4th Fighter Wing Medical Group is hosting a COVID-19 mass vaccine line for authorized TRICARE beneficiaries at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Fitness Center.

This Friday, May 14, from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time, first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine are available for anyone 16 years of age and older. Persons must have a valid DoD ID card and be TRICARE authorized for healthcare in Military Medical Treatment Facilities. Although the FDA has expanded the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine to include adolescents 12-15 years of age, the base is currently awaiting further guidance from the CDC and Defense Health Agency before vaccinating this age group.

Eligible persons can also schedule a shot appointment at the Military Medical Treatment Facility on base by going to the 4 MDG app or 4 MDG Facebook page and clicking on the link https://informatics-stage.health.mil/COVAX.
