Johnny Richard Sauls Jr., 53, of Goldsboro passed away Wednesday at his residence. He is the son of Virginia Kelly Diehl and husband William “Bill” and the late, Johnny Richard Sauls Sr.; and was the husband of Melissa E. Sauls. Johnny was a self-employed carpenter and loved to go to the beach and go fishing. He also enjoyed time spent with his family and was also known to go play golf or his guitar, as well as play music and sing.

The family will have a private memorial service.

In addition to his wife and mom, Mr. Sauls is survived by a sister, Sharon Sauls Colyer, and husband, Tim of Dudley; stepmom, Connie Sauls of Snow Hill; stepbrothers, Tony Riley and Ritchie Riley and wife, Nekisha all of Snow Hill; stepsisters, Telene Chapdelaine and husband, Mike of Snow Hill, Julie Ramos and husband, Chris of Rome, NY, and Christina Diehl of Rome, NY, and a special grandson.

In addition to his father, Mr. Sauls is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Renee Sauls, and grandparents, Robert and Grace Kelly and Nathan and Nancy Sauls.
