There’s an increased fire danger in Wayne County today.  The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Red Flag Warning for elevated fire danger, which will affect the region today from 10 AM until 7 PM.  The Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will be shortly.  A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will create dangerous fire behavior.
