According to the National Weather Service, there will be an increased fire danger across the local area today.  Winds gusting up to 30 mph later today will bring drier air into the region.  The combination of gusty winds, lowering relative humidity, and the lack of rainfall will lead to an increased fire risk in areas of Eastern North Carolina.  Outdoor burning is discouraged.
