Pollen Count Is High Across N.C.

(NORTH CAROLINA NEWS NETWORK) — The past few days have seen a lot of sniffling and sneezing, with pollen counts in much of the state flirting with records. State Climatologist Corey Davis says the pollen season got off to a late start.  Davis says in parts of the state, we’ve set records.  Davis and medical experts say required mask wearing due to the pandemic could contribute to the reaction from the yellow stuff this year.  Davis says this weekend the weather will be a summer pattern — with spotty showers possible every day — but not the consistent rain that would wipe out some of the yellow stuff.
