Barbara Cherry Price, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Eloise Cherry. Barbara was married to the late Robert Price.

For many years, Barbara worked in the cafeteria for Wayne County Public Schools. She will be remembered by many for her love of fishing. Barbara always found pleasure in feeling the tug of a fish on the line. Above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At her request, no formal service will be held. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Jeff McSwain, 3563 NC Hwy. 111 South, Seven Springs, NC.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Pat Price (Carla), Missy McSwain (Jeff) and Jeff Price (Michelle); brother, Glenn Cherry (Jenine); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren she loved very much.
