The search continues for a father and son that disappeared in a fishing accident on the Neuse River. The 5-year-old son fell off a dock at the Highway 117 boat ramp south of Goldsboro around 8 PM Wednesday. His father went in after the child and a nearby boat also attempted to assist. However, those initial rescue attempts were not successful, and emergency responders and water rescue teams have been searching the river since. The water rescue was called off in the overnight hours and resumed Thursday morning. As of 1:30 PM, the father and son had not yet been located.
