Wednesday morning, the Mar-Mac Fire Department and Wayne County EMS units responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Five Points Road and U.S. 117 South near Highway 13 South.  A white Toyota pickup truck collided with an SUV at the intersection.  Several patients were checked out by paramedics and were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The accident is being investigated by the State Highway Patrol.
