Youngest WCPS Students Head Back To The Classroom

Classes are back in session for some students in Wayne County.  Today, Tuesday, March 16, is the first official day that K-5 students and teachers in Wayne County Public Schools will be operating under “Plan A.”  This is the first time WCPS has reopened schools to full in-person instruction since the pandemic forced North Carolina schools to reduce the number of students in classrooms.  Parents still have the option of keeping their children out of the classroom and learning remotely.

You may notice additional school bus and child pedestrian traffic around school buildings especially during the morning and afternoon commute.

NCDOT school bus, student and driver safety precautions are linked up below.
