Plenty of people are planning to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this Wednesday, March 17th. Unfortunately, that means more drunk drivers on the road.

Beginning Wednesday, as part of the Booze It & Lose It Campaign, law enforcement officers from all 100 counties will conduct saturation patrols to remove impaired drivers from the roadways. Motorists caught driving while impaired could face jail time, lose their driving privileges and pay fines.

The N.C. Governor’s Highway Safety Program wants to remind you to never drink and drive.
