Evelyn Head Pate, 92, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Hospice in Wilmington, NC.

She was preceded in death by her father, Zeb Head and mother, Clyde Ginn Pate of Greene County, NC. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, of 52 years, E. James Pate.

Evelyn is survived by her son, David J. Pate and wife, Kathy of Wilmington, NC.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Dan Baer officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
