Clarence Harvey “C.H.” Neighbors, Jr., 64, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. Born in Harnett County on April 13, 1956, he was the son of the late Clarence Harvey “Jimmy” Neighbors, Sr. and Doris Munden Neighbors.
C.H. was a supervisor at SPX Flow in Goldsboro. He was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church. His uncompromising and devotion of faith to God was visible to everyone he met. One of his greatest joys was acts of service and ministry in church.
C.H. enjoyed being outdoors, working in his garden, fishing, rabbit hunting, and tending to his horses. He loved his family and will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, daddy, papa, brother, and friend.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, followed by a service to celebrate C.H.’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Bill Rose officiating. Private interment will be on Wednesday at the Shady Grove OFWB Church Cemetery in Spivey’s Corner.
C.H. is survived by his wife of 40 years and the love of his life, Wanda Barnhill Neighbors; daughter, Amy Gladson and husband, Chris; son, Matthew Neighbors and wife, Elizabeth; sisters, Brookie Honeycutt (Tommy), Connie Eatmon, Sandy Bridges (Tom), and Karen Neighbors; grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Bella, and Westly.
