Martha Elaine Perkins, 71 of Meadow View Assisted Living passed away Tuesday. She is the daughter of the late Albert and Pauline Perkins. She was a retired school teacher, having worked for several school systems. As a teenager, she played the piano at Falling Creek Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the Neuse Friends Cemetery with Pastor Greg Moser officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Perkins is survived by her son, David Callis of Four Oaks; a sister, Ann Hunt of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Calvin Perkins and wife, Judy of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by a sister, Lavee Coone.
