Due to the pandemic, the annual Albertson Washington Field Day Trial had a bit of a twist this year. Saturday’s event was held at the Albertson Fire Department instead of the Ruritan Building with 424 dogs registered for the field trial. The Dog owners lined up their trucks along Old Pink Hill Highway near Tull Mills Road to wait for the call to release the hounds. At 7 AM, the canines were released into the woods. Meanwhile, firefighters were back at the fire station chopping up the eight hogs they had cooked up during the evening. The fire department set up a drive thru line for the public to pick up the meal this year. The event is held every year in Albertson to help raise funds for several organizations in the community.
