Goldsboro-Quadrez Lassiter is the first scholarship recipient of the North Carolina Eastern Chapter of Johnson C Smith University (JCSU), Charlotte, N. C. scholarship award. Mr. Lassiter was surprised to receive the $1000 scholarship.

“I am so appreciative of this unexpected scholarship.  With this pandemic, virtual is okay; but I am ready to physically get back to school and play football.” Quadrez is currently a freshman marketing major at JCSU. He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in Goldsboro.

“We are delighted to present our first scholarship to Quadrez,” said Patricia Ford, president of the local chapter of JCSU alumni. “He appears to be a fine young man. We look forward to following him to graduation.”

Quadrez is the son of Florosa Lassiter. “I feel blessed and very grateful that Quadrez received this scholarship. It is a miracle and is right on time,” said Mrs. Lassiter.

The North Carolina Eastern Chapter of Johnson C Smith University Alumni invites all alumnus in the area to join us. The zoom meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month at 2:00 pm.
