Flood Warning Remains In Effect For Wayne County

The Neuse River near Goldsboro is expected to crest this weekend as heavy rains continue to drench Wayne County.  According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, the Neuse River near Goldsboro will crest Sunday at about 22-feet, in “Moderate Flood Stage.”  The river is currently at just over 21-feet.  A Flood Warning and Flash Flood Watch remain in effect for Wayne County.

 

 

Nearby, the Neuse River at Kinston is expected to enter “Moderate Flood Stage” later today and continue rising into early next week.
