The Neuse River near Goldsboro has reached “Moderate Flood Stage” and will continue rising with the ongoing rain. As of 5 AM today, the Neuse River was at just over 20-feet. According to the National Weather Service, the local river is expected to crest at nearly 23-feet, just below “Major Flood Stage,” on Sunday. A Flood Warning remains in effect in Wayne County, and the county is also under a Flash Flood Watch.
