Predictions Increase For Neuse River Flooding

A Flood Warning remains in effect in Wayne County.  The National Weather Service is upping its prediction for flooding along the Neuse River in Goldsboro.  The Neuse River is now expected to crest around 22-feet in “Moderate Flood Stage” early Sunday.  As of 5 AM today, the river’s level is at nearly 20-feet, just below “Moderate Flood Stage.”

 

 

Nearby, the Neuse River in Kinston is already in “Minor Flood Stage” and is expected to continue rising into “Moderate Flood Stage” into next week.

Remember: Never attempt to drive through a water-covered roadway.  Turn Around and Don’t Drown!
