Mary Holder Boyette

February 14, 2021, 77, Goldsboro –

Mary Holder Boyette, 77, was released from her earthly bounds to enter eternal rest on Sunday, February 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Lenoir County to the late Kenneth A. and Mary Taylor Holder on February 11, 1944. She retired as a customer service representative with Burroughs Wellcome after 25 years of dedicated service.

Mary will be remembered for her unconditional love as a wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to all. So too will she be remembered for her compassionate spirit and soul, and her gift of doing acts of kindness for others. Family was paramount to Mary, and she loved nothing more than her husband, her children, and especially her grandchildren. She was the embodiment of love as we have been taught by our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mary loved her church, New Hope Friends, where she was a dedicated and faithful member and choir member. She had a large extended circle of family and friends and they were all very special to her. She will be missed by many, but greatly remembered.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Mary’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Andrew Hise officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Wayne Memorial Park. Attendees are asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Gene Boyette; children, Christopher Ray Stallings of Hookerton, Dowanna S. Snyder and husband Ricky of Kinston, Kimberly Nicole “Nicki” Puchalski and husband John of LaGrange, Robert Christopher Boyette of Goldsboro and Angela “Angie” Boyette of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Brandi Potter, Shannon Small, Dusty Snyder, C.J. Stalllings, Dylan Puchalski, Austin Puchalski, Al Joyner III, Elizabeth Boyette and Tabitha Snyder; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Holder and special friend Dorothy of Pascagoula, MS.

She was preceded in death by her special four legged daughter, Angel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to the Flock Program at New Hope Friends Church, 4451 U.S. Hwy 70 East, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
