Dennis Gerald Taylor, 61, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Lenoir County on August 6, 1959, he was the son of the late Clyde Taylor and Edna Heath Taylor. He was the husband of the late Nell Taylor.

Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired with the rank of Staff Sargent.

A service to celebrate Dennis’ life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rose officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston. Those attending the services are asked to wear a facial covering and practice social distancing.

Dennis is survived by his son, Eric Taylor and wife, Brittany of New Bern; brother, Dr. Ray Taylor and wife, Vickie; nephews, Bryan Taylor and wife, Cathy and Michael Taylor and wife, Stephanie; and a niece, Erin Taylor.
