Dallie Dale Best, age 69, passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Dallie Dick Best and Minnie Elizabeth Best and father of the late Tammy Best Flowers. Dale was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family will have a time of visitation Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral home and at other times at the home.

Dale is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joe Ann Best; a daughter and son in law, Melissa Best Woodson (Chris); a son, Kenneth W. Brown, II; brothers, Sherman Best and Ted Best; sister, LaVerne Wiegand; and his grandchildren and great grandchild that he loved so much.
