Mary Sue Weeks Brill, 73, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born in Wayne County on July 22, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Wade Weeks and Louise Thigpen Weeks.

Sue was a homemaker and a member of Manley Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in the Grantham Community. Her life was filled with kindness and a love for others that she displayed every time she smiled. She dedicated her life to serving her family unselfishly and to serving her Lord.

A graveside service celebrating Sue’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 at East Duplin Memorial Gardens in Beulaville. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery. Attendees are asked to wear a face covering, practice social distancing, and bring a chair if needed.

Sue is survived by her sisters, Ruby Joyce Gardner of Calypso, Annette Sutton of Pikeville, and Mattie Thompson (Richard) of Morehead City; brothers, Melvin Borden Weeks (Elleze) of Goldsboro and Willie Ray Weeks (Sandra) of Grantham; grandchildren, Laken Hall (Danielle) and Josh Southard; two great-grandchildren, Abel Hall and Cain Hall; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her husband, Tony Brill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Tonya Renee Hall and Michelle Southard; and a sister, Glenda Carol Rowe.
