The number of Wayne County’s active coronavirus cases is dropping.

According to figures released Monday by Wayne County Government, there are currently 580 estimated active cases of COVID-19 in the county.

At approximately the same time one week ago, there were well over 600 active cases in Wayne County.

Wayne County has recorded 8,630 total positive cases of coronavirus since the pandemic began.

187 of those cases have resulted in death.
