Parts of North Carolina are preparing for wintry weather.  Temperatures are expected to drop Wednesday night into Thursday morning, turning a cold rain into snow in many areas.  In Wayne County, the National Weather Service predicts rain will eventually change over to all snow overnight.  However, any snow accumulation is expected to be less than half an inch.
