David Kyle Wingard, 28, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Kyle was born in Wayne County on April 25, 1992 to Tammy Beasley Wingard and the late David Levarne Wingard. Some of Kyle’s favorite times were spent outside, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, as well as riding horses and four- wheeling.

Growing up, Kyle was all boy. Full of energy and rather stubborn, he did what he wanted when he wanted, and there was no stopping him. He was always right and he always knew best.

He also enjoyed playing video games on his Play Station, especially the NBA game. Kyle loved all sports but will be remembered mostly for his love of the Los Angeles Lakers, the UNC Tarheels and the Dallas Cowboys.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Kyle’s life at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Pikeville Cemetery beside his daddy.

Kyle is survived by his devoted mother and caregiver, Tammy Wingard; step-father, Tony Turnage; brothers, Chris Wingard and Chase Hare; step-brother, Tyler Turnage; step-sister, Haley Morgan; grandmother, Linda Beasley; uncles and aunts, Scott and Megan Beasley and Rhonda and Curtis Lucas; special aunt, Brenda Hales; two nephews and several cousins he loved very much.

In addition to his daddy, he was preceded in death by his PaPa, Ray Beasley; grandparents, Archie and Gloria Wingard; and uncles, Jimmy Beasley and Duane Wingard.
