Lenoir County Robbery Suspects Arrested in Greenville

Two suspects are arrested for a Kinston armed robbery.  The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office says the robbery at the Blue Door Sweepstakes on the 3000 block of Highway 258 North occurred Sunday morning.  The business had been robbed at gunpoint by two subjects.  Two suspects were identified through the sheriff’s office’s investigation and they were tracked down and arrested by police in Greenville.

Cory Devon Jones, Jr. was arrested and charged with :

  • Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Felony Larceny of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
  • Possession of a Stolen Firearm
  • Jones’s bond was set at $520,000 secured.

Derrick Demond Dixon was charged with:

  • Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Felony Larceny of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
  • Dixon’s bond was set at $550,000 secured.

Both Jones and Dixon were confined at the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office says the incident is still under investigation, and they are working to identify any other persons that may have assisted these suspects before, during or after the robbery.
