Incentives Approved For Sanctuary Systems Project In Fremont

Wayne County approves incentives for an expanding business in Fremont.

Sanctuary Systems, LLC, a personal protective equipment manufacturer, is planning to create 118 new jobs as it expands its existing facility in the northern Wayne County town.

Wayne County Development Alliance President Mark Pope called  the project an early Christmas present.

Pope says the county is giving Sanctuary Systems a $100,000 economic development grant for the project.

He says the company will also use a $500,000 grant from the state’s Building Reuse Program to support the use of a 60,000 square foot building in Fremont.

Sanctuary Systems plans to invest over $5 million in its improved facility.

Following Tuesday’s public hearing, the Wayne County Board of Commissioners approved the economic development agreement for Sanctuary Systems.
