Residents in Mount Olive may notice some new noise in the afternoons.  In a Facebook post, the Mount Olive Fire Department says its siren on the tower at the fire station will be set off daily at noon.  After going unused for several years, the Mount Olive Fire Department now plans to set off the siren every weekday at noon as well as use the siren to notify volunteers of fire calls. For now, the siren may be used intermittently for calls, but once the department receives its new base radio, the siren will go off for every call as well as at noon.
