A Flood Warning is in effect for the Neuse River in Wayne County.  At 9 AM on Sunday, the Neuse River near Goldsboro was at nearly 18 feet, which is just below “Minor Flood Stage.”  Due to the rain over the past several days, the river is expected to continue rising through the week.  At this time, the Neuse River is expected to crest at over 21 feet in “Moderate Flood Stage” late Thursday or early Friday.

Remember to never attempt to drive through water-covered roadways.  Turn Around and Don’t Drown.
