Saturday morning, a group of ten people took part in a class on how to make treats for the wild birds in your yard. The class was held at the picnic shelter at the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park with one of their nature rangers. Due to the social distancing and mask requirements, only ten people were allowed to attend this event. The ranger demonstrated how to make bird treats that you could put out in your yard to feed. She used a mixture of wild bird food along with honey, syrup, peanut butter, and pine cones that you could place around your yard for the birds.
